Configuring & Troubleshooting Email in Outlook and Webmail

Solution:

  1. Ensure internet connectivity – Emails won’t sync without an active internet connection.
  2. Check email server status – If the email server is down, wait and try again later.
  3. Verify login credentials – Ensure the correct email and password are used.
  4. Set up email in Outlook
    • Open Outlook, go to File > Add Account.
    • Enter your email and choose Manual Setup if needed.
    • Select IMAP/POP or Exchange (based on your service).
    • Enter incoming & outgoing server settings provided by IT.
  5. Check email storage space – If your mailbox is full, delete some emails to free up space.
  6. Repair Outlook – Go to Control Panel > Programs & Features, select Microsoft Office > Repair.
